SMEs looking for strategic advice on increasing market share whilst keeping control of their finances has helped Yorkshire technology consultancy Barclay Jones experience growth
Specialising in the working with growing SMEs to deliver growth Barclay Jones audits business processes, technology and strategy and advises on best practice and appropriate approaches to business improvement.
Wayne Barclay and Lisa Jones have worked together since 2000 when they met whilst working together at a Yorkshire recruitment firm. The pair created Barclay Jones, which specialises in IT strategy, in 2008
Ms Jones said: “Keeping your business streamlined whilst adopting new ways of growing it using social media and cloud-based business software, for example, can only help your strategy, but it needs to be appropriate, and strategically introduced into your business.
“The use of consultants who have experience in these fields ensures that your internal staff remain focussed on the day to day running of the business, whilst you gain the benefits from an independent, external opinion of both the present and future.
Barclay Jones is also urging SMEs to consider working collaboratively as a way of achieving growth.
“Plenty of SMEs are ready to grow, sometimes quickly and aggressively, but always with stability in mind,” Ms Jones said. “Cost cutting and increased turnover will remain bed fellows for some time to come.”
