I need to legally retain emails, what’s the best way to do this?

Retaining emails is now an essential part of any business as it enables good business practice, enable E-discovery (to use emails as evidence either for criminal, civil litigation or for potential use in company disciplinary procedures), adherence to Government legislation and compliance to international codes of practice. In addition to this it helps speed up any litigation, thus keeping litigation to a minimum.  Emails can now form binding contracts, even without a signature on a piece of paper. For some industries, finance and banks, police, healthcare, government, local government, defence and construction it is now a legal requirement to keep these emails.

There are many different systems on the market but most are based around a purchased in-house system or a hosted Software as a Service solution and Barclay Jones has helped many clients select the most appropriate email archiving solution for their business requirements and budget.
